Hourly Risk Control Filter

The automated hourly program has a risk control that takes the program entirely out of the market when the average daily ranges exceed the overall price change for the previous week in the majority of markets traded. if the risk control is activated clients that want to reenter prior to the filter disengaging need to contact us to confirm allocation and risk.

When risk control is activated all positions are liquidated and the hourly program remains neutral until overall weekly change in market price for the previous week is greater than the average of the daily ranges, once an individual market qualifies positions for that market are reestablished.

Risk control = overall rate of change divided by average daily range (it should be greater then 1 to 1). This risk filter has taken us out of the market 7 times since 2008 most recently 25 May 2022.

Example,

NASDAQ, average daily ranges from the 20th through the 25th were 400.75 points or $8,015 per contact, overall change from the 20th through the 25th 44.25 points or $885 per contract, Total reversals 8, overall change divided by average daily range = 0.11 to 1 (which is a terrible ratio it should be greater than 1 to 1). I’d also like to point out the price gaps during these sideways volatile markets a good example is the 23rd, on the 23rd from the settlement at 15:00 Chicago to the reopen at 17:00 Chicago the market gapped (no trades) 144 points against the hourly trend ($2,880 per contract price gap)

Chart

Volatility is manageable if there is carry through,

From January 18th, through January 23rd, 2022, the NASDAQ moved from 15,458 down to 14,544, down 914 points or $18,280 per contract with 4 reversals. Average daily ranges from the 18th through the 23rd, 492 points or $9,840 per contract, overall change divided by average daily range = 1.86 to 1.  (a tradable ratio for the hourly)

Chart

During the same period we had the same scenarios in the S&P,

Looking at the chart below note the break in the S&P on May 20th representing $7,050 per contract move lower only to be followed by a recovery of the same amount on the same day.

Summary

We had a $7,100 range per contract on the 20th with a settle 1.00 point lower than the open or $50.00 per contact. May 25th a $4,212.75 range per contract with 3 reversals, the risk control filter took us out preventing these reversals.

Average daily range 19th through the 25th, 96.125 points representing $4,806.25 per contract

Overall change in price from the 20th through the 25th 66.25 points representing $3,312.50 per contract, Overall change divided by average daily range 0.69 to 1 (less than 1 to 1 is bad)

Chart

Sideways high volatility is tolerable if it’s limited to one sector, but when it spills over the majority of sectors traded like to did from the 20th of May 2022 through the 25th it’s time to exit, wait for trends to clean up and renter positions one market at a time when their weekly change to daily range ratio exceeds 1 to 1.

Silver, from the 20th through the 25th silver had an average daily range of $2,543.75 per contact.

On the 20th silver traded at $22.020,  on the 25th it traded at the exact same price, overall change from the 20th through the 25th, $0.15.per ounce or $750 per contract. Overall change (0.15) divided by average daily range (0.5086) = 0.2948 to 1 (a terrible ratio)

Chart

Crude oil, overall change in price the 19th of May 2022 through the 25th $1.52 representing $1,520 per contact, average daily range from the 19th through the 25th $3.58 or $3,580 per contact. Overall range divided by average daily range 0.42 to 1  (anything less than 1 to 1 is bad).

Chart

It’s frustrating to exit the market and potentially miss moves but one has to ask themselves would they rather be out of the market wishing they were in or in the market wishing they were out?

    • Overall account risk can be defined before the first trade goes on
    • You get paid to buy gold lower (put write entry), paid to sell it higher (call write offset)
    • Total weeks 801, 723 up weeks, 78 down weeks on liquidated positions.
    • Trading methodology is fully disclosed enabling performance verification.
    • It’s an ATA, trades are placed and monitored by a team of seasoned professionals
    • 2 to 48 hour liquidity in portion of all in any major currency
    • Has a low minimum ($25,000 per unit)
    • Message me with any questions.

3) How it trades

From neutral we write a slightly out of the money put option weekly collecting time premium, using a percentage of the collected premium buy a deeper out of the money put to define risk, (put credit spread) this procedure is repeated until we’re delivered a long futures position at a lower price.

Once delivered a long position we write a slightly out of the money call weekly collecting time premium, using a percentage of the call premium collected we buy an out of the money put to define risk, (collar) this procedure is repeated until the long futures position is called away at a higher price.

How to use the spreadsheet

What Magical Monetary Fairy is going to replace the Fed?

The Fed was buying 54.04% of all new Federal debt, trillions more in mortgage backed securities all at noncompetitive rates. they did this using money they created with keypunch entries, these purchases have artificially contained interest rates since 2008.

Now that it’s stoped who’s going to replace the Fed?

    • The Fed has created 8,556 trillion dollars with keypunch entries.
    • Purchased 5,644 trillion in Federal debt.
    • Purchased another 2,527 trillion in mortgage backed securities.

Current Inflation “transitory”, yes, reported inflation at the time of this report was 5.40%, true inflation is, and will be moving higher.  Ask yourself if inflation is “transitory “would Social Security (which is facing insolvency by 2035) be hiking Beneficiary payments by 5.9% in 2022, the largest increase in 40 years?

Next crisis on deck, currently there is 7.202 trillion in foreign held Federal debt,

When rates rise, Treasury prices fall, do you honestly believe these foreign investors are going to maintain their positions or  sell Treasuries, dollars, repatriate and reallocate funds to tangible assets, quality stocks or debt instruments in any of the 11 countries that have higher debt rating than the U.S.?

When this Fed chart Federal Debt Held by Foreign and International Investors turns lower aggressive sales of U.S. Treasuries and dollars will engage.
When this occurs the first waves of “Quantitative Easing” totaling 8,556 trillion will look like moderation.

What “politicians” have accomplished since they discovered “Quantitative Easing”

60.888 trillion spent since 2008 that didn’t produce anything more than a U.S. debt downgrades and a 19.917 trillion dollar bill for future generations of Americans to pay off.

From 2008 through 2019 (144 months)

    • Federal debt grew by 13.972 trillion from 8.86 trillion to 22.833 trillion
    • The Federal Reserve created 3.274 trillion dollars with keypunch entries
    • 13.972 trillion is more than 3 times the fiscal cost of World war 2 in 2021 USD
    • 13.972 trillion is more than the combined total debt of United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, Mexico, China and Russia total population of these countries 1.816 billion, U.S., 331 million.

2020 through 21 October 2021 (last 22 months)

    • Federal debt grew by 6.072 trillion from 22,833 trillion to 28.905 trillion
    • The Federal Reserve created 4.315 trillion dollars with keypunch entries
    • 6.072 trillion in new Federal debt over the last 22 months is 86 billion more than the combined debt of Brazil, Argentina, Mexico, Russia and India, population of these countries 1.918 billion, U.S. 331 million.
    • 6.072 trillion is more than 6 times the cost of FDR’s new deal

Since 2008

    • 40.970 trillion in cumulative Federal Revenue
    • 60.888 trillion in cumulative Federal Spending
    • 19.917 trillion in new Federal debt
    • 7.590 trillion created by the Federal Reserve with keypunch entries
    • Cumulative median personal income 2008-2021 $684,478
    • Federal Revenue per employed person $277,670
    • Federal revenue as a percent of median income 40.69%
    • Federal spending per employed person $412,654
    • Federal spending as a percent of median income 60.46%
    • New Federal debt per employed person $134,985
    • Money created by the Federal Reserve per employed person $51,441

Corrupt Incompetence during the 21st century has reduced annual Federal Revenue to a mere 11.16% of total federal debt, down from 35.98% at the end of 2000 and 28.69% in 2007.  An 11.16% annual Federal revenue to total Federal debt ratio makes it impossible for the U.S. to accurately report inflation, normalize interest rates or any increase in Federal expenses pegged to reported inflation such as Social Security, Medicare, Military and Civilian employee pensions.

Dollar devaluation and monetization of U.S. debt have fully engaged creating unprecedented opportunities for those who are prepared and potential fiscal ruin for those who are not.

    • Download this spreadsheet and enable editing (allow 15-45 seconds)
    • Enter markets and number of contracts traded in columns I-K rows 19-45

4) Allocation performance by sector, contact size and timeframe traded.
We’ve added Chicago Mercantile Exchangemicro contracts, to our line-up, micros are 1/10 the size of a normal contract enabling a 25K to 50K account the same diversification that use to require 250K to 500K. Micros are excellent for “trial accounts” and enable you to capture a small piece of the beautiful up and down trends we’re seeing in 2022. For allocations that trade mini and micros see allocations 22-50.

5) What we do, my team researches Hedge Funds, CTAs fully disclosed objective long/short trading programs and provides you access to top performers through the safest and most capable firms worldwide. All  trading programs are fully automated through our platform on ChartVPS using CQG integrated client linked to multiple exchange members worldwide

How it works, pick an allocation or, markets/periods you want to traded, we place, monitor, manage all trades 24 hours a day.

Risk tolerance
If a risk tolerance level is hit the maintenance balance is activated and the allocation is automatically liquidated on or before the next settlemet.

Clients can set their risk tolerance at any level but it should be realistic. In 2025 with the benefit of hindsight, diversification and optimization a capable analyst with access to 6,200 Programs, Hedge Funds and Advisors could optimize actual or hypothetical performance and produce an allocation where there are no losing months over a 10 year period.

Summary

    • Initial investment – risk tolerance = maintenance balance
    • Should the account fall below the defined maintenance balance as of the settlement on any trading day our team will automatically liquidate all positions on or before the next settlement and report back to you.
    • Example, Initial start  balance $100,000, maintenance balance $70,000, should the settlement valuation of the account fall below $70,000 all positions would be liquidated on or before the next close, the final liquidation valuation might be higher or lower than the defined $70,000 maintenance balance but all positions are guaranteed to be liquidated prior to the next open.
    • If we fail to liquidate on or before the next settlement we would liable for any losses from that settlement forward.
    • Trading Authorization is automatically revoked.
    • Any new positions would be deemed unauthorized and transferred to the Asset Investment Management (AIM) error account immediately.
    • You can adjust your maintenance balance at any time by completing a new Risk Control Agreement
